M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust

The Murdock Trust staff recently marked our 44th year of serving the common good of the Pacific Northwest at our annual Founder’s Day celebration. The day is one of the highlights of our year for two main reasons:

  • Founder’s Day presents a unique opportunity for our entire staff to have the chance to connect, in person, with hundreds of individuals who are working to uplift our communities through their tireless dedication and hard work.
  • This gathering allows us the opportunity to remember the life and legacy of our benefactor, Jack Murdock, and his commitment to serve the common good of our region.

What began as an opportunity to open our offices to a few of our local colleagues and partners has grown into a block party-style celebration of the entire nonprofit ecosystem that supports and uplifts the Pacific Northwest. This year, we were fortunate to welcome about 500 members of the nonprofit community and introduce them to the delightful atmosphere of the Vancouver Waterfront, including the tasty options available at restaurants like Twigs, Wildfin, Warehouse 23 and Beaches. And, of course, our good friends at Kitchen Goddess joined the festivities with a few of their signature goodies as well.

A huge thank you to all of our partners for joining us to make this event such a success, to our nonprofit community for joining us for a beautiful day by the water, and to the Murdock team (Stefanie, Camille, Mike, Jason, Jennifer, Conner, Steve, Colby and Megan) for all of their hard work.

Planning is already under way for next year’s party as we gear up to celebrate the big 4-5. We hope to see you there!
