At the Murdock Trust, we are fortunate to partner with an outstanding staff of talented professionals who help bring the mission of our organization to life every day. As we officially enter the fall season, we are thrilled to share some exciting updates regarding the Murdock Trust team, including one new face who will bring her talents to our grants team, as well as position updates for two of our current colleagues.
Lisa Torres – Grants Reporting and Impact Manager
Lisa joins the Trust following a career that includes more than two decades supporting grantmaking work for multiple foundations in the Midwest. Lisa attended the University of Chicago and graduated from Northwestern University, Lisa brings a robust understanding of grant management, assessment, and impact evaluation to the Trust. In her role, Lisa will help the Trust partner with grantees to understand the community impact of Trust investments and inform and improve our processes. Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Lisa!
Sarah Ruckle – Program Coordinator for Enrichment
We are thrilled to share that Sarah Ruckle has been promoted to Program Coordinator for Enrichment. After completing a double major at The University of Virginia, Sarah began with the Trust as a Portland Fellow in 2019. Following her time as a Fellow, Sarah served in Marketing and Development at Medical Teams International and completed an online certificate program in project management through Cornell University. In the fall of 2021, Sarah returned to the Trust and has provided exemplary leadership and service in support of approximately three dozen Enrichment programs. Congrats Sarah!

Megan Smith – Human Resources Manager
We are pleased to share that Megan Smith has been promoted to the role of Human Resources Manager. Since joining the Trust in 2017, Megan has served as our Finance and Administrative Coordinator, managing a variety of tasks related to the human resources and business needs of the Trust. In this new role, Megan will focus her attention on managing Trust recruiting, compensation, benefits, employee relations and organizational development programs. Congratulations Megan!
