In honor of the Murdock Trust's 50th anniversary, we're celebrating five decades of investments in the common good across the Pacific Northwest. Oregon holds a special place in this story. It's where Jack was born, where he co-founded Tektronix, and where his legacy has had perhaps its greatest economic impact; his company grew to become Oregon's largest employer at one point.

But Oregon was far more to Jack than a place of business success. He loved it for all the reasons most do today: the beauty of the Columbia River Gorge, the exciting contrast between urban Portland and rural communities, the green spaces and rugged coast. Oregon was close to Jack's heart, and it's where the Murdock Trust awarded its very first grant. We're thrilled to honor fifty years of partnerships with Oregon nonprofits.

To each of these groups dedicating countless hours to the common good: thank you for making the state Jack Murdock loved as strong, stable, and sustainable as possible. We're proud to stand by you!
