We often note that the work of the Murdock Trust is driven fully by the nonprofits we serve. We believe that the needs of the Native community of Alaska are different from the needs of the Latino community of Oregon, different from the needs of the urban community of Seattle and different from the needs of rural Montana. We believe that these unique needs are best served when individuals who live and work within these communities identify the solutions that will serve their region most effectively, and we seek to come alongside those individuals and organizations to support their efforts.
When communities thrive, individuals gain connection, unity and the support they need to grow and flourish in their own lives. In a beautiful cycle, it takes the work of individuals to identify and serve the needs of the community.
In this video, we have the opportunity to share a small handful of examples of Murdock grantees working around the Pacific Northwest to help ensure that every community has the opportunity to flourish and thrive. The dedication and commitment exhibited by the individuals in this piece is awe-inspiring, and we are grateful and humbled to support their efforts.
