To the nonprofit leaders and staff across the Pacific Northwest —

We see you. We hear you. And we want you to know: you are not navigating this moment alone.

Over the last year, conversations with executive directors and frontline leaders across our region have revealed a consistent story of funding uncertainty, growing service demand, staff burnout, and the very real ripple effects of federal funding shifts reaching communities at the local level. The strain is showing, and it is important to name that.

I sat down recently with Colby Reade, our Vice President of External Affairs and Strategy, to speak honestly about what we're seeing in the sector and where the Trust stands. I hope you'll take a few minutes to watch our conversation.

I also hope you’ll consider attending the webinars we are hosting March 2-5 covering specific eligibility guideline and funding priority updates in each focus area. This will be a chance to learn more about specific adjustments the Trust is making in response to funding demands, and how they might affect your organization.

What gives me hope in moments like this? Organizations are collaborating, innovating, and leaning on one another. The Pacific Northwest has weathered difficult seasons before, and the strength of this sector runs deep.

The Murdock Trust remains committed, for the long haul and alongside you.

With gratitude,
